Highlights
Lance has always had a passion for the development of human potential, helping people live their very best lives. He combines modern motivational training with the philosophy and teachings of the martial arts, to make this knowledge readily available through his Warriors Wisdom course, based on his book Warriors Wisdom.
History
Lance has done stunt work and weapons choreography for TV shows Hercules and Xena. He also has an extensive background in Education and Training, working as a Training Manager for Toyota, New Zealand, for many years. He also spent several years in the USA working as a Senior VP of Operations, while continuing his extensive martial arts studies.
Awards
- 2018 - Lance was awarded 9th Degree Black Belt in KRMA and Wei Kuen Do by Grandmaster Leo Fong and the KRMA Masters Board
- 2019 - Lance received the Member New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for service to Karate and the Community. (MNZM)
- 2021 - Lance was inducted into the New Zealand Martial Arts Hall of Fame (NZMAHOF)

Ava Strong
As one of the founding members of Kiaido Ryu, Ava is the highest ranked woman in KRMA and has been studying the Martial Arts for over 38 years.

It is Ava's passion to empower women through Community Self Defence Courses, Wahine Toa Courses for women, and being a champion for the Kids Right2besafe program run through CAPS Hauraki.
History
Ava has trained extensively in the USA and Canada in Karate, Kyusho Jitsu (6 th Degree), Wei Kuen Do (8 th Degree), Jiu Jitsu and Arnis under some of the world’s leading martial arts masters. Ava also worked for five years as a stunt person and stunt double on the television shows Xena and Hercules and also worked on the movie The Last Samurai.

- 2019 - Ava was awarded 8th Degree Black Belt sanctioned by Grandmaster Leo Fong 10th Degree Black Belt USA, and the KRMA Masters Board.
- 2019 - Ava was awarded a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her contribution to martial arts and the community.
- 2024 - Ava was inducted into the New Zealand Martial Arts Hall of Fame (NZMAHOF)
